story by: House of Travel

If you're eager to do some serious shopping, there are a few places in South East Queensland that simply must be on your radar. Offering up a whole range of exciting goods, from your favourite fashion brands to fun trinkets, this region of Australia has you covered.

Here are some of the destinations you should check out if you're keen to swipe away at your credit card for a few days.

1. DFO Brisbane - Brisbane
DFO - or Direct Factory Outlets - Brisbane is home to all your favourite brands. From adidas to Roxy, you won't run out of options at this conveniently located mall, which is located right by Brisbane airport.

It's also home to a great range of eateries, so if you're feeling peckish as you carry your shopping bags from store to store, you can sit down and take a coffee break - or two.

2. Harbour Town Gold Coast
- Biggera Waters
The Gold Coast is a well-known mecca for shoppers, and one of its coveted destinations is the Harbour Town centre, where you can find outlets and specialty stores galore. Open daily, you can head here for your retail fix. You'll find this centre at 147-189 Brisbane Road, Biggera Waters. What's more, there is great bus and train access to this destination, so it's easy to get to and from, no matter how many bags you may be carrying.

3. Robina Gold Coast - Robina Town Centre

Another shopping hotspot along the GC is Robina, which is a suburb that boasts a wonderful shopping centre. Head to Robina Town Centre Drive to find the mall, which once again plays host to all your most-loved retail brands.

There's car parking, plus plenty of access via public transit, so you can really make the most of your shopping adventure here. There's even a free tourist shuttle. You can also enjoy fantastic features such as free WiFi, personal styling and dining and leisure facilities, featuring cafes, restaurants and even a cinema.

4. Pacific Fair Shopping Centre
- Broadbeach
Continue your shopping along the Gold Coast with a visit to the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, which offers up even more treasures for you to consider. You can find this retail paradise along Hooker Boulevard, Broadbeach, and it's open seven days a week.

Enjoy great facilities for families and carers, not to mention easy access to and from the centre with great parking and public transport via bus.

This mall holds regular events so keep an eye out for anything festive happening onsite, particularly in and around the holiday periods. That's if you can tear yourself away from the great shopping opportunities!

The Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is also a great place to enjoy a hot mug of coffee and a slice of indulgent cake.

5. Eumundi Markets
- Sunshine Coast
For something a little different, make your way to the Eumundi Markets, which are located along the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. You'll find Eumundi around 20km west of Noosa Heads, and the market is right in the centre along Memorial Drive.

This market was established in 1979 and has long been a favourite among locals and visitors alike.

What kind of goods can you expect to find? Anything and everything from original artwork to toys, homeware, skincare, fashion, accessories and plenty of fresh local produce, too. Feast upon delicious coffee, chocolate, baked goods and foods inspired from all around the globe such as laksa and paella. You'll also be kept well-entertained with a stellar line up of entertainment, featuring musicians and other performers.
