MOFO, Tasmania The island of Tasmania brims with intriguing art, with the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) having pride of place in Hobart. GOMA, Brisbane, Queensland Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) can be found at Stanley Place, in the Cultural Precinct of South Bank, Brisbane. What's it home to? In total, there are more than 16,000 Australian and international works housed in the gallery, from paintings and sculptures to multimedia installations. The Melbourne International Film Festival Any film buff will love the Melbourne International Film Festival, which takes place annually and draws films, their makers and their stars from all over the world. It's one of the oldest film festivals in the world, having been established in 1952, so you'll be soaking up cinematic history with your visit. Not only are there tickets to various film screenings, but also to parties, panel discussions and workshops. It's the whole package!
