story by: Inspire Magazine

The indescribable buzz of Times Square, towering skyscrapers, lush Central Park and numerous diverse districts each with their own distinct flavour and flair. It's time to stop hearing about it and discover NYC for yourself!

OUT AND ABOUT IN NYC
Little Italy and Chinatown are both tasty neighbourhoods. Indulge in pizza and pasta or chow down on dim sum while taking in the glow of the lanterns. The SoHo region is famous for its quirky atmosphere and vast array of shops and galleries. Check out Greenwich Village with its palpable bohemian flair and Midtown’s Fashion District, brimming with all the shops a fashionista could dream of. Catch a world-famous musical on Broadway before heading uptown to stroll the affluent streets of the Upper East and West Sides.

AN OASIS IN THE CITY
In the midst of all the hustle and bustle of New York life, there are plenty of green spaces for the public to enjoy. The most famous of these is, of course, Central Park. This vast green space spans 843 acres and has been in existence since 1857.

AN ABUNDANCE OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE
For art lovers, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Whitney Museum of American Art and Metropolitan Museum of Art are musts for checking out the worldclass collections. Take in the views of New York’s incredible cityscape from the top of the towering Empire State building, walk or cycle across the wonderful Brooklyn Bridge and view the high ceilings and wonderful glass and brass clock that makes up Grand Central Station.

EXPLORE THE UNIQUE HISTORY & CULTURE
Take a ferry to Ellis Island, an historic immigration centre that operated from 1892 until 1924. A huge number of American families flock to this island to discover their roots.

Then there's the Statue of Liberty which needs no introduction. You can head up to great heights, right inside the statue’s crown!

HOT TIP
