The Magic of Santorini

story by: Mike Williams

Santorini boasts some of the most photographed sunsets in the world, and that’s just the start of what makes this Greek island so magical.

Formed after a colossal volcanic explosion, Santorini is the main island of a small archipelago of the same name that is known for its stunning landscapes, awe-inspiring cliff faces and a beautiful deep blue central lagoon. If you want to witness natural beauty like no other, Santorini is an experience of pure serenity and total bliss – an island you’ll never forget.

Many will begin their Greek experience by visiting Athens where in 1-2 days you can soak up the capital’s stunning historical wonders, including the magnificent Acropolis and the Parthenon. From here, a large number of stunning islands are waiting to be explored. All islands in the chain are fairly close by to one another, creating the perfect opportunity for an exhilarating island hopping experience!

The Santorini cluster is just a small piece of a larger island group in the Aegean Sea called the Cyclades.

On your way out to the stunning and tranquil Santorini, be sure to stop over in Mykonos where you’ll be greeted by a cosmopolitan lifestyle of chic boutiques, fine dining and swanky bars.

Once you finally step foot on Santorini, you won’t be disappointed – this is a destination that prides itself on wowing visitors by offering unmatched allure. Santorini’s white-washed villages are carved into its steep volcanic cliff faces which cascade into the sapphire Aegean Sea, providing you with exhilarating ocean views and a chance to see the unique beauty of its heavenly sunset.
