Viva Las Vegas!

story by: Inspire Magazine

It’s Vegas baby! One of the most famous destinations on earth, attracting close to 40 million visitors a year and a place where anything can happen.

As fabulous as the casinos are, you certainly don’t have to be into gambling to appreciate all the excitement and energy this city has on offer through its spectacular array of amazing shows, over-the-top extravagant hotels, vast range of shopping options and breath-taking sights by Mother Nature herself.

Take full advantage of the variety and high calibre of entertainment available while you’re here, this city is a mecca for international acts. If it’s clubs and bars you’re into you won’t be disappointed either, Vegas has everything from sprawling dance clubs to intimate and sophisticated cocktail lounges. Time is of the essence, so multitask it by checking out Hyde Bellagio Nightclub, where you can sip a fancy cocktail whilst marvelling over the famous Fountains of Bellagio while scanning the crowd for entertainment icons.

If you need a break from all the glitz, glamour and excitement, escape into the wilderness for an outdoor adventure. Try kayaking down the Colorado River and Rock Climbing at Red Canyon, or if you like to travel in style then get an aerial view by helicopter to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam.

No trip to Vegas would be complete without a serious shopping expedition. For a budget blow out go to Barneys New York at The Palazzo or visit the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace, host to around 160 designer stores and featuring a world-renowned simulated sky ceiling that changes according to the time of day. If you’re keen to save your green backs for one of Vegas’ fabulous shows then opt for outlet shopping instead. Las Vegas Premium Outlets have two malls, one of which is located close to the airport making it a perfect last stop for some retail therapy before getting on the plane.

Finally, here's a travel tip for anyone Vegas bound. Avoid Friday and Saturday nights, they're very busy and it’s more expensive to stay. Arrange your trip for Sunday through to Thursday to take advantage of much cheaper accommodation rates.
