Botswana: Wilderness Safaris Trio Luxury Camps

Botswana: Wilderness Safaris Trio Luxury Camps

story by: Mike Williams

We have put together a weeks experience at our favourite Classic camps by Wilderness Safaris. Staying at this mix of camps will give you a range of fantastic land and water based activities, with night and day game viewing, mokoro excursions and boating trips along serene waters.

Day 1: Maun
Depart Maun Airport on your scheduled air transfer. Arrive at Chitabe Camp.

Day 2: Chitabe Camp
Chitabe Camp borders the famous Moremi Game Reserve, in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Chitabe Camp has all the scenery you would expect to enjoy on a luxury African safari - open floodplains, waterways, marshlands, dry acacia and mopane woodlands, riverine areas and open grasslands. The wildlife in this breathtaking mix of the Okavango Delta is as diverse as it is prolific, with elephant and impala, to lion and wild dog.

Day 3: Tubu Tree Camp
Today a scheduled air transfer from Chitabe Camp to Tubu Tree Camp.

Day 4: Tubu Tree Camp
Tubu Tree Camp is a small, intimate experience built on the western side of Hunda Island, in the Okavango Delta’s Jao Concession. Usually a waterinundated area during the floods, Hunda Island is the largest stretch of dry land in the area. This affords Tubu tree Camp the most diverse game viewing within the concession.

Day 5: DumaTau
Scheduled air transfer from Tubu Tree Camp to DumaTau. DumaTau means ‘roar of the lion’, yet has high concentrations of elephant and outstanding wildlife. Located close to the source of the Savute Channel, in the vast Linyanti Concession in northern Botswana, waterways around DumaTau Camp lure a plethora of wildlife - particularly in the dry winter months.

Day 6-7: DumaTau
Spend your day exploring.

Day 8: Maun
Air transfer from DumaTau Camp to Maun Airport.

DEPARTS: Maun Airport / Daily
DURATION: 8 days/7 nights
