Canyons Up Close: The Best National Parks Tour, USA

story by: Inspire USA

Join Bundu Bashers, a small group tour guided by people skilled in the geology, customs, traditions and history of the area through which you travel.
Enjoy exposure to Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon through the eyes of a Navajo guide. Explore slot canyons – narrow canyons sliced through a mesa by the forces of nature. Don't forget to pack the camera!

Day 1: Las Vegas – Grand Canyon – Page
The route to the Grand Canyon takes you past Lake Mead and over Hoover Dam before the first stop at the Grand Canyon South Rim for some exploring and an optional helicopter ride (additional cost). Then on to Page via the lesser – known east route for your overnight stay.

Day 2: Antelope Canyon – Page – Monument Valley – Moab
Start the day at Antelope Canyon – one of the most striking slot canyons known to man before heading across the Navajo Reservation. Every now and again you will see small Indian dwellings scattered across the harsh landscape. Then it's on to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park where you will see buttes, mesas and other sandstone formations on a two hour off-road tour with a Navajo guide.

Day 3: Moab – Arches N.P – Canyonlands N.P – Capitol Reef N.P.
Arches is a park that has the wow factor! You will be amazed at the assortment of arches, fins and spires inside the park. In fact, most of the world's natural arches are to be found here. When you stand high up at Canyonland's Island In the Sky you will soon see why it's a hidden National Parks jewel.

Day 4: Capitol Reef N.P – Bryce Canyon N.P – Zion N.P – Las Vegas
See weird shaped hoodoos in colourful hues at Bryce Canyon before returning through Zion National Park to take in the striking rock formations, with trees actually growing in the rock, before heading back to the bright lights of Las Vegas.
