This small-ship expedition cruise along the spectacular Kimberley Coast will take you to a place of magnificent vistas created by towering rock ridges, silent secluded gorges, wide savannah plains and waterfalls which defy both nature and belief. Discover all the icons of the Kimberley – from King George Falls, King Cascades and ancient Aboriginal rock art, to the amazing spectacles of Horizontal Falls, Montgomery Reef and a multitude of marine and wildlife. This expedition will live on in your memory for a lifetime. You’ll be able to experience the Kimberley aboard a fleet of inflatable Zodiacs and the unique Xplorer excursion vessel. Xplorer allows access to parts of the Kimberley Coast inaccessible to other travellers, and ensures you explore in the most comfort possible.

Day 1-2: Darwin – King George River
Cross Cambridge Gulf and sail into Western Australian waters. Discover the mighty King George River, explore scenic gorges and the magnificent falls.

Day 3-4: Biggie Island – Prince Frederick Harbour
Visit the sea bird rookeries and stop at Cape Voltaire and Bigge Island to discover amazing rock art. Cruise into Prince Frederick Harbour where helicopters are available for optional scenic flights over Mitchell Falls.

Day 5-6: Careening Bay – Prince Regent River and King Cascades
Head to the site of a large historic boab tree. Cruise the mighty Prince Regent River to breathtaking King Cascades.

Day 7: Kuri Bay and Raft Point
Go ashore at Raft Point to view Aboriginal art dating back 20000 years.

Day 8-9: Montgomery Reef – Horizontal Falls – King Sound – Crocodile Creek
Experience two of the highlights of the Kimberley Coast – Montgomery Reef that ‘rises’ out of the ocean, and Talbot Bay where the tides create an amazing spectacle, the unique Horizontal Falls. See the effects of iron ore mining operations and visit Crocodile Creek for freshwater swimming.

Day 10-11: Lacepede Islands – Broome
These islands are situated well off shore and are known for turtle nestings and bird colonies. Disembark in Broome.
