Bordeaux, France Sightseeing

story by: Inspire France & Italy

  • Half Day Tour: Picture this – driving through a village with the vines of the famous Bordeaux wines right in the centre of the town: in fact, even bordering the local petrol station. You may have experienced a wine tour at home but it is nothing compared to what you will see in the Medoc. You’ll hear loads of interesting facts, visit a prestigious vineyard, tour their winery and cellars and of course sample the famous Bordeaux tipple.
  • Discover the Wine Regions Tour:  This is what this area is all about – visiting vineyards and tasting some world famous wines. The Bordeaux wine country is especially for you red lovers and is where such worldfamous wines as Medoc, St-Émilion, Entre-Deux-Mers and Sauternes are produced. These prestigious vineyards cover some 105,000 hectares between the forest and the river, the ocean and the estuary, the hills and valleys.
  • St Emilion Day Tour: How does a grower’s lunch at a wine château sound? After hearing the history of the region’s wine and enjoying cellar tours at a couple of St-Émilion vineyards you’ll have a very local lunch at the grape pickers’ quarters. After lunch the afternoon is yours to meander about the beautiful medieval village of St-Émilion. Make sure you wear comfy shoes as the village is great for exploring but far from flat.
