Provence is for many, one of the most appealing regions in France,. It is famous for its wine, beautiful countryside, lavenders fields, Roman ruins and medieval villages. You’ll drive through quiet rolling hills maong olive groves and vineyards and can also enjoy some vibrant cities with outdoor cafes and great regional cuisine.
Day 1: Avignon.
Day 2: L’lsle sur la Sorgue - Fountaine de Vancluse - Gordes - Roussillon. A day trip to the riverside town of Isle sur la Sorgue, medieval Fountaine - de-Vaucluse, beautiful Gordes and the stunning village of Roussillon.
Day 3: Chateauneuf du Pape - Nimes - Aries. Take a detour via Chateaufeuf-du-pape, a medieval village and one of France’s most famous wine regions.
Day 4: Les Baux de Provence - St Remy de Provence - Aries. Another great day trip taking in delightful St Remy and the dramatic medieval fortress village of Les Baux de Provence.
Day 5: Aries - Aix en Provence. A leisurely day in Aries and Aix where you’ll love wandering the streets of the Old Town.
Day 6: Aix en Provence - Cassis - Marseille. Travel via the pretty seaside town of Cassis and the Calanques, the dramatic coastline of cliffs and inlets.
