SEVEN THINGS WE LOVE ABOUT NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE

By House of Travel

1. An array of choice
With a young modern fleet, purpose-built for ‘Freestyle Cruising’, you can take your pick from the widest choice of accommodation afloat. Treat yourself to a balcony stateroom with floor-to- ceiling glass doors that open to a private veranda or a contemporary décor stateroom equipped with a private studio lounge. Whether you’re travelling as a family, couple, solo traveller or group, you’ll find there’s comfortable accommodation for everyone.

2. Destinations galore
There’s also a variety of destinations to choose from including a tropical adventure to the Bahamas, a siesta along the Mexican Riviera or an eye-opening trip to Scandinavia.

3.
Hawaiian cruise itineraries

Pride of America is a Norwegian Cruise Liner that offers an amazing 7-night Hawaii cruise departing from Honolulu and heading on a round trip throughout these tropical islands. Offered all year around and easy to access now that Hawaiian Airlines are due to start their 3 day a week service and of course our own Air NZ flies regularly. The Ports of call include - Honolulu; Kahului-Maui; Hilo-Hawaii; Kona-Hawaii; Kauai. This is just one example of Norwegian's extensive destination list. Whatever is on your wishlist, your HoT Cruise Specialist can put you on the right Norwegian cruise.

4. Plenty of razzle dazzle
Love a jazz hand? Sure you do. And so does Norwegian Cruise Line. Take a trip with these guys and you’ll receive a nightly entertainment program of acrobatic shows, magic acts, comedy stand-up, jazz, blues and piano bars. You’ll never fall short of entertainment with comedy improv from The Second City®, guaranteed to keep you laughing. Not forgetting the Broadway-style productions like Rock of Ages and Chicago.

5. Call all the dinner shots on your cruise
In the past, cruising was typically quite traditional and known for regimented dining times and strictly-scheduled activities. With the introduction of ‘Freestyle Cruising’ you have more freedom to enjoy your holiday as you wish. Norwegian Cruise Line is part of this innovative change, allowing you to choose when and where you dine. With up to 20 dining options on Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships, you can choose from casual eateries to five-star dining with French gourmet, steakhouse meals, Asian cuisine and classic Italian dishes on the menu. It’s not only in the food arena that you enjoy more flexibility, but also in onboard attire – the ‘resort casual’ dress style means you can leave the gowns and black tie at home.

6. Perfect for families with children
These days cruise ships like to partner up with the biggest names in children’s entertainment. For instance, Norwegian Cruise Line has teamed up with Nickelodeon. Your kids will be begging you to go back to relaxing by the pool and leave them alone! The line’s also worth noting for its late night children’s clubs. However, be aware that very few lines offer in-cabin babysitting.

7…As well as the solo traveller
Another contender would be Norwegian Cruise Line, which offer studio cabins targeted (and priced for) solo cruisers on their Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Epic, and Pride of America ships - but refrain from charging a single supplement. Hurrah for that.
