We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Accounts Administrator to jump on board and provide exceptional accounting support to the business.  Based at Roydvale Ave, Christchurch, you will work under the guidance of the Central Accounts Manager to provide outlet accounting services to multiple House of Travel retail outlets.

The Accounts Administrator role will include, but is not limited to, assisting in the daily receipting of client funds received in HOT Retail outlets, completing of daily bank reconciliations, payment of invoices, debtor and creditor reconciliations, payroll and commission calculations along with the running of end of month reports.  Naturally, you will enhance the reputation of House of Travel by providing quality, proactive service at all points of contact with House of Travel Retail Outlets, customers and suppliers.

The key to your success in this role will be:

  • Good working knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
  • Experience with completing Bank, Debtor, Creditor and other reconciliations
  • Ability to rapidly understand and use in-house accounting, IT and other systems
  • Minimum 1-3 years Accounting experience
  • Demonstrate an ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Team player
  • Experience with online banking system(s)
  • Experience with automated payroll system(s) but not essential
  • Highly flexible and receptive to change
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Self-reliant and self-motivated
  • Good communication skills
