Perth Travel Guide

It’s hard to put your finger on a single reason for Perths magnetism.

Fantastic accommodation, stunning beaches like Swanbourne, Cottesloe, Scarborough and Sorrento, wineries, a relaxing café culture, shopping, Perth attractions, heritage, beautiful walking and cycling tracks, rivers, parklands, golf courses and so much more. Try the Federation Walkway at Kings Park, visit the Swan Bells, see gold bullions being poured at Perth Mint, and take a ferry to Fremantle or Rottnest.

Fremantle
Perth’s historic seaport is steeped in Maritime charm from convict- built Shipwreck Galleries to the new interactive WA Maritime Museum, a must see. Other attractions include the Fremantle Motor Museum & Fremantle Prison. Take a tour by tram or foot and enjoy the historic streetscape. Settle down at Little Creatures, a boutique brewery for a pizza and ale, or Cicerello’s for fish and chips, or dine along the ‘Cappuccino Strip’.

Rottnest Island
Essential is a ferry ride (from Fremantle or Perth) to Rottnest Island. Hire a bike and trail around the necklace of sandy, crystal clear bays perfect for swimming and snorkelling, spot cute quokkas (marsupials) along the way.

Swan Valley
30 minutes from Perth, Swan Valley is WA’s oldest wine growing region with many wineries offering cellar door tastings, we enjoyed Sandalford and Houghtons. Hire a car and explore this region at your own pace or take a relaxed wine cruise along the Swan River. See world class golf courses, wildlife parks and the scenic Walyunga National Park with its spectacular wildflowers.

Sunset Coast
With brilliant white beaches, dazzling blue waters, spectacular sunsets and a vibrant mix of cafes, restaurants and bars, it’s no wonder this is such a popular spot. This water playground within minutes of Perth City is blessed with all the makings of an ideal holiday or weekend escape. Stretching from Fremantle’s Port Beach to Hillarys Boat Harbour it includes the beautiful beaches of Cottesloe, Scarborough and Sorrento.

Mandrah
Located 45 minutes south of Perth, Mandurah is an aquatic playground with an abundance of water activities. During the day the foreshore lawns are alive with a colourful mix of walkers, picnickers, paddlers, fishermen and children at play. At night the bay lights up as people migrate to the waterfront to enjoy a BBQ or dine at the many cafes.

Whether travelling to Perth on holiday or visiting friends and relatives there’s a vast array of tours, attractions and accommodation options we can assist with. Include a perfect beach break, discover seaside Mandurah, pick-up a rental car and head south to the Margaret River wineries. Let us inspire you to go and discover!
