Qantas is operating multiple daily services across the Tasman and is progressively introducing the new next generation B737-800 jets featuring brand new seating and state-of-the-art on demand in-flight entertainment in both cabins.

The new planes will operate on selected Qantas flights across the Tasman with the first of six commencing from September 2009. These aircraft will operated predominately the Auckland to Sydney services, and some Auckland to Melbourne services. With a configuration of 12 Business Class seats and 156 Economy seats, the aircraft offers a brand new seating design with styling by Marc Newson. Seat features include:
