Calgary and its famous stampede and Edmonton, Canada’s festival city, which boasts the world’s largest shopping and entertainment complex, add to its allure. Then there’s Drumheller’s amazing collection of dinosaur skeletons. Both provinces are home to many First Nations – Canada’s original inhabitants. Discover their ancient culture by sleeping in a tipi or watching traditional dances. Kayak along routes used by centuries of fur trappers or paddle across tranquil fjords in the company of otters and porpoises.
