You can even get married on top of the world – the summit at Mt Pitt with 360 degree views, or on one of Norfolk Island’s dramatic cliff tops at sunset. For a more formal wedding the Historic Mission Chapel is steeped in Norfolk’s rich history.

People intending to marry on Norfolk Island must file a “Notice of Intended Marriage” one month prior to the intended date of marriage. The notice must be completed by both Bride and Groom and witnessed by an appropriate person. Bride and Groom must provide: • Birth Certificates (original or certified copies) • If divorced a copy of the Decree absolute is required • If previous spouse is deceased a copy of the death certificate is required • Fee for marriage and lodging “Notice of Intended Marriage” AUD$200 • Two Witnesses must be present at ceremony The notice can also be faxed to the Registry Office (Fax int+ 6723 22403) BUT you must bring the original copy to Norfolk with you.
The AUD$200 fee includes: Lodgment of notice and for a civil service – if in a church a donation is made. Also need to notify the registrar if a celebrant is required or not which House of Travel weddings can organise for you.
Children under the age of 2, not occupying a seat and accompanied by an adult, may travel on an infant fare. If your infant requires a separate seat please purchase a child fare.
