Cook Islands Weddings Legal Requirements

• Original (or certified copy) birth certificate
• Valid passport(s) including valid visitors permit if required
• Application for licence must be made in person to the Registrar of Marriages in the Cook Islands at least three full working days before intended date of marriage.
• The legal age of consent to marry is 20 years, otherwise written approval by parents is required.
• If divorced, a copy of the Decree Absolute is required
• If previous spouse is deceased, a copy of the death certificate is required
