History and traditions are in abundance as you wander the city centre amongst the halls of Harvard University. Known as America’s Walking City, relive history dating from the colonial era as you walk the Freedom Trail. Historic architecture, museums, hidden gardens of Beacon Hill, are waiting to be explored.

During the spring and fall the city is transformed with flowering trees and the renowned fall colours of New England. In summer, stroll the city’s sidewalks or just people watch from an outdoor cafe and in winter, a stroll through the city brings a whole new dimension with snow falling on the lamplit streets and cobblestone alleys.

Of course, any time of the year there is shopping, from the upscale boutiques of Newbury Street to the outdoor kiosks of Faneuil Hall Marketplace. For sports fans, the famous Boston Marathon on Patriots Day or a Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park are not to be missed.
